    Become a hike organiser

Right Packing has a dedicated hike organiser role for people who lead group hikes and want to publish templates and hike pages. Regular accounts can join hikes and fork templates - only organisers can create them.

    Who is this for

    • Club leaders planning weekend trips
    • Scout troop and youth group leaders
    • Guides and workshop hosts
    • Anyone publishing a required kit list for a group

    How to get the role

The role is granted by a Right Packing admin. To request it:

    1. Sign in to your account and make sure you have set a public handle in Settings.
    2. Contact us from the contact page with a short description of the hikes you organise.
    3. An admin will enable the role on your account. You do not need to sign out - the next page load picks it up.

    What the role unlocks

    • New template button on the Packs page.
    • New hike button on the Hikes page.
    • Ability to edit and publish hike pages, add suggested gear, and see the participant list.

Everyone can still join hikes, fork templates and manage their own gear without the role.
