Link your hike to an external route or event
Most organisers already have a hike write-up somewhere — a blog post, a Komoot tour, a Facebook event or a club page. You can point your Right Packing hike page at that URL so participants have one place to open both.
Add the link
- Open Hikes → Edit hike.
- Scroll to Basics.
- Fill in External link with the full URL (starts with
https://). - Optionally set a short Link label, e.g. "Full route description" or "Facebook event". Falls back to "More info" when empty.
- Press Save.
Where participants see it
The link appears in the header of the public hike page and in the participant's own view — right next to the location and date.
Good things to link
- A detailed route description with waypoints and elevation.
- A booking or event page (Meetup, Facebook, club site).
- A map (Komoot, AllTrails, Outdooractive, custom map).
- A trip report from a previous edition.
Keep the label short so it fits on mobile.
