Link your hike to an external route or event

Most organisers already have a hike write-up somewhere — a blog post, a Komoot tour, a Facebook event or a club page. You can point your Right Packing hike page at that URL so participants have one place to open both.

    Add the link

    1. Open Hikes → Edit hike.
    2. Scroll to Basics.
    3. Fill in External link with the full URL (starts with https://).
    4. Optionally set a short Link label, e.g. "Full route description" or "Facebook event". Falls back to "More info" when empty.
    5. Press Save.

    Where participants see it

The link appears in the header of the public hike page and in the participant's own view — right next to the location and date.

    Good things to link

    • A detailed route description with waypoints and elevation.
    • A booking or event page (Meetup, Facebook, club site).
    • A map (Komoot, AllTrails, Outdooractive, custom map).
    • A trip report from a previous edition.

Keep the label short so it fits on mobile.
